Carl Craig went back to back with Moodymann on the Stargate stage on Saturday night of Movement 2025. Mike Banks was in the booth with them.

This was the Stargate stage closer on the opening night of Movement's 25th anniversary edition. Three figures who each helped build a separate pillar of Detroit techno standing at the same booth. Craig runs Planet E. Moodymann runs KDJ and Mahogani. Banks runs Underground Resistance. The catalog represented in that three-person frame is most of the Detroit sound from the late 80s forward.

The weekend's festival reviewers treated the set as the emotional peak of the anniversary. It was positioned as a generational apex: three founding-era figures playing together at the festival Detroit techno helped build. The review coverage emphasized the historical weight more than any specific set detail.

Whatever else happens at Movement in the next decade, Saturday night at Stargate 2025 will be part of the reference set. Three names, one booth, the festival's 25th anniversary. That is the kind of booking that goes straight into the record.

Movement 2025 ran May 24-26 at Hart Plaza.
