DJ Minx signed to Rekids in early 2026 and released the "Energy EP" in February. The title track features Kendra Foster.

Rekids is Radio Slave's London-based label, one of the more consistently respected techno imprints of the last fifteen years. Minx landing there is the kind of signing that should have happened a long time ago and is a little surprising that it took until now. She has been running Women on Wax since 1996, she helped define Detroit house as a producer and DJ across three decades, and her catalog has been a reference point for artists working in the space for a long time.

The Kendra Foster feature is worth paying attention to. Foster is a Detroit vocalist, two-time Grammy winner, and a longtime collaborator with George Clinton and D'Angelo. Her voice on a Minx production is the kind of Detroit-on-Detroit booking that sounds obvious once it exists and that nobody had actually put together until now.

Beatportal covered the release. The EP is out on Rekids.
