The Nothing Is Strange party at Lincoln Factory on Sunday of Movement weekend 2025 had one lineup: Theo Parrish and Moodymann. That was the whole bill.

Both DJs play long-form sets by default. Both have been doing this in Detroit for decades. The event was part of Lincoln Factory's Movement week programming, which has become one of the more serious afterparty circuits in the city since the venue opened.

What is interesting about this booking is what was not around it. No undercard, no local opener slot, no support act. Just two names on the flyer and an open runway between them. That is an unusual structure for a Memorial Day weekend event. Most Movement afterparties stack talent across the night to give attendees reasons to stay. Nothing Is Strange went the other direction.

The result was an event that was mostly undocumented in press, which tells you something on its own. The people who were there are the only ones who know what actually happened. That is how Detroit used to work more often than it does now.

Lincoln Factory is at 1331 Holden Street.
